Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Ethereal Elite cables ($49) / low end xlo interconnects
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): A glorified power strip I got from Audio Advisor--can't remember the brand off hand.
Tweaks: Atlantis Speaker Stands, filled with sand
Room Size (LxWxH): 22 ft x 22 ft x 8 ft
Room Comments/Treatments: Wall-to-wall carpeting, pictures on the walls, books in shelves, a sofa
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Opera (especially Verdi, Mozart, and Strauss), Classical (Brahms is a favorite, especially the chamber music), and Jazz (the usual suspects from the 50s and 60s; also Jimmy Giuffre, Chick Corea, and Keith Jarrett)
System Goals/Comments: To have a system that won't stand between me and the music, and to get the most out of what I've got, but to avoid getting too wrapped up in an expensive never-ending quest for improvements.
System Strengths: Gee, I wouldn't want to boast. I will just say that my speakers and my room get along very well together, which counts for a lot in my book. The midrange and the top on the NSM 10S are pretty amazing, and they image like a dream.
System Weaknesses: Not much bass below 55Hz.
Video/HT System: None
