Room Comments/Treatments: | Speaker placement is weakest factor in system at the moment. A new home would do the trick... :) |
Music Preferences and Comments: | |
Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Jazz, Rock, Alternative, Classical, even some Punk. |
System Goals/Comments: | Bring my listening experience as close to an actual live event as much as possible. The one thing that will make the biggest difference is my listening room. My current listing room is our living room, and it's my biggest weakness. We are currently house-hunting for a home with with an extra room large enough to make into a dedicated sound room. |
System Strengths: | I have a very minimalist setup and that's the way I like it. I am happy to say that my APL Denon is the most natural/analog-sounding digital I've ever heard. I have heard it compared to the Meitner combo, and I definitely prefer the APL Denon. It's a completely new paradigm for digital reproduction. |
System Weaknesses: | Sub-optimal placement of speakers in room creates many many problems. Soundstage depth and width is effected as well as imaging. |
