Last Update: December 03, 2005 at 12:14:41 IP Address: 24.151.19.60
Amplifier: Onkyo TX2000
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): none
Speakers: Cambridge Soundworks Newton M50
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Marantz CC4300
Turntable/Phono Stage: DIY with Sonus Arm right now but it a state of TT flux so this may change
Other Source(s): Computer soundcard
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: whatever
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): same as other systems
System Goals/Comments: Something nice sounding to listen in the background whilst tinkering
System Strengths: It does what it is supposed to do. Nothing particularly "audiophile" about it but it sooths instead of irritating.
System Weaknesses: The M50's are not as good as some of the competion in their price range but I picked them up new in the box on Ebay for less than a $100 and they are an absolute steal at that price.
Video/HT System: None
