| System Goals/Comments: | Replace poorly designed stock Bozak cabinets with separate bass and midrange DIY boxes, midrange to be MTM with Bozak mids/Scan-Speak tweeter. |
| System Strengths: | Purity of source gives extremely clean midrange, Kenwoods provide amazing bass response. Special synergy between solid state amps and tubed components (Modulus 3A and Alpha DAC) which takes just the right edge off solid state brightness. $5000 system sounds like $ 50,000 ( just guessing ) |
| System Weaknesses: | Speaker cabinets w/o internal bracing resonate at certain frquencies; imaging suffers from poor choice of driver geometry (tweets in front of woofer). Highs sometimes seem muddy,maybe due to first order passive crossover resonance. Tweeters are very old design. See Goals above. |
