Music Preferences and Comments: | |
Music Used (Genre/Selections): | jazz, rock, acoustic, symphonic, anything good... I hate country but can get into SOME rap, r&b and gospel |
System Goals/Comments: | Bang for the buck. I love warm, rich sound. |
System Strengths: | Above all... Value. I have barely over $200 invested into the system (including cables, source, line conditioner, speakers amp and preamp!). The Carver is an animal as far as power goes, but still provides decent imaging. The CD player sounds great when it doesn't tick (will explain) The mid and high frequencies are natural and warm. |
System Weaknesses: | The CD player ticks on some cd's, but sounds great on most. I haven't had the time/know-how/testicular fortitude to open it up and try to figure it out. The bass is a bit sloppy, but I'm hoping that some decent speaker stands will help that. (they will be a free hookup from my roomate Toppop) |
Video/HT System: None | |
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: | Music. I play guitar, bass, drums and sing. I was in band (symphonic) through high school and some of college, but playing classical music wasn\'t my passion. I lead music for church and work with youth. On the side, I\'m an insurance agent. |
