Music Preferences and Comments: | |
Music Used (Genre/Selections): | 1950s/1960s jazz, 1960s/1970s British and American rock, classic funk/soul/R&B from the 1960s/1970s (Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway, Booker T. & The MG's, Meters etc). Very varied and eclectic musical taste - far too many to mention them all! About 90% of my record collection is LP's, the rest CD's. |
System Goals/Comments: | Next upgrade will be buying a better cartridge, still not sure what to buy. |
System Strengths: | Warmth, full and toneful bass with rhytmic drive, nice presence and detail, especially from intimate/acoustic records (Norah Jones, Carole King etc). |
System Weaknesses: | Mostly room-related (acoustics). Still, the sound is much better in current apartment, which is a 100yrs. old wood house (no harsh reflections bouncing from concrete walls to the listening position!) |
Video/HT System: None |
