Amplifier: Radford STA 25, heavily modified tube amp.
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Radford preamp, also modified.
Speakers: Audio Note/Snell E with Siemens Klangfilm drivers, 95 db+.
Heybrook Quartet
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: None yet.
Turntable/Phono Stage: Project 6 (being substituted for a direct drive type), Origin Live Encounter mkII, Ortofon Rondo Bronze MC, Ortofon MC 10 Supreme.
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Misc.
Tweaks: Wall-mounted turntable.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Baroque, renaissance, classical, romantic, jazz, 70' and 80' rock.
System Goals/Comments: Speed, solidity, dynamics... I call it 'snap'; it's a dynamic characteristic I usually associate with live music.
System Strengths: Agility and dynamics, good imaging.
System Weaknesses: Poor turntable, gentle roll-off at the highest frequencies.
Video/HT System: None
