| CD Player/DAC: | music hall 25.2 Philips CDM 12-10 transport controlled by a CD7 servo. The D/A converter is a Burr-Brown 1732 (24-bit/96kHz). The output stage uses OPA 2134 op amps. |

| Speaker Cables/Interconnects: | various (not big on these, but nordost flat wire for speakers , also wyrewizard spellbinder/dreamcasters freebies from Secrets web site) |
| Room Comments/Treatments: | way too little wood/fabric, let alone REAL treatments |
| Music Preferences and Comments: | |
| Music Used (Genre/Selections): | fav = ACOUSTIC, but also jazz, rock, classical, folk - listen to all but rap/hip hop/etc |
| System Goals/Comments: | recreate the live music experience (being an amateur musician) |
| System Strengths: | plenty of power, and it's much better than a sansui 80wpch stereo receiver and cambridge soundwork satellite/subs (which ain't saying much, esp. around HERE). I claim audio progress, not audio perfection. |
| System Weaknesses: | room acoustics, looking to upgrade the preamp for now....of course, that'll be until I listen to too many OPS (other people's systems) and don't talk to me about vinyl vs CD yet... |

| TV/Projector: | sony 32in CRT (not for long.... WAY TOO HEAVY) |
| Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: | yamaha rxv2500 (claims 130 wpch for 7 channels) |
| Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): | pair of insignias at $35, 2 more pairs of phase technology v4 (not too sure they're better than the insignias at $140/pr (now $280 pair - sheesh!!)...no sub for now, but if i get one it'll be the SVSound PB10ISD 300W down -3db at 18Hz for 429$ (can you talk me out of it??) |

| Comments on HT System: | if movies were as good as symphonies and jazz standards and live piano, I'd care more about HT.... |
