Amplifier: Mapletree Ear+ HD, modded (better capacitors, etc, the standard stuff), for the RS-1.
Eddie Current Laconic EC-01, for the DT770.
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): None
Speakers: Grado RS-1
Beyer Dynamic DT770/600
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Cambridge Audio 640c, modded with balanced outputs
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Nothing fancy.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): RS-1: Rock, alternative
DT770: Electronica, jazz, downtempo
System Goals/Comments: RS-1: It's main goal is to provide the best rock experience possible within my budget. It does so very well.
DT770: IMO the best combination out there for electronic music, or slower bass heavy music.
System Strengths: RS-1: PRaT, slam, attack, acoustic instruments sound very very real, fun. Very quick and lively, get's my foot tapping and my head banging every time.

DT770: Absolute bass monster. Very dirty but very fun sound. Has a big V shape written all over the sound.

System Weaknesses: RS-1: Bit exhaustive and fatuiging sound. Not that comfortable.

DT770: Sucked out midrange.

Video/HT System: None
