Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classical - all periods, all genres, but string quartet, piano trio (quartet, quintet), symphonic, vocal/choral, and art song dominate.
System Goals/Comments: My Linn Axis turntable will eventually be replaced so that I can significantly upgrade the tonearm and cartridge.
System Strengths: TT > Scott amp > Woo headphone amp > AKG K701. I think that this now hints at high end sound reproduction.
System Weaknesses: Speakers are the weak link now, though I can and do still enjoy them. Cartridge upgrade is probably the next step.
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: Sony Vega
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Denon DRA 685 Receiver
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): ADS L500 (stereo)
Sources (DVD/VCR): Pioneer DVD(CD) DV 333
Comments on HT System: Wouldn't really call it home theatre, more like glorified TV.
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Telemark skiing, climbing, kayaking, precision airguns. Professional cellist/professor.
