System Goals/Comments: | Very pleased with the TEAC / MF DAC combi, and my preamp. ARC D70 is a wonderful easy listen, need to upgrade my speakers. |
System Strengths: | Full range response, good bass, lovely mids and most importantly a highly musical system. |
System Weaknesses: | Stereo imaging not great and high frequencies seem slightly veiled. A friend of mine has bought, through my recommendation, a Marantz 52 SE to go with his old Kef Concerto's ( the ones with the rac track bass cone ) and an old Technics amp. This gives a truly awesome sound and when I first went round to listen to it I felt almost sick, his whole sytem cost less than a decent pair of interconnects and yet sounded better than 99% of all the kit we had recently listened to at the London/Heathrow show the previous weekend. |
