Amplifier:	2 Channel music system: PL EVO 300 integrated amplifier Marantz 2238B (like a phoenix - back in full glory). This amp bought new in the 70's. This is now my back up amp, but I use it sometimes. Home Theater: Marantz SR6015
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated):	2 Channel phono preamp Musical Paradise MP 2P
Speakers:	2 channel main speakers: 1. DIY Custom Walnut Cabinets (similar to original Valencia w ported) Altec 416, 806a/811. typical Altec efficiency about 96Db, full throated VOT sound. These set on the floor. 2. Klipsch design Electro Voice Aristocrat folded horns; 12w T25 midrange horn/ T35 highrange horn; sensitivity approximately 104 SPL Electro Voice Aristocrats (these set on top of the Altecs) HT: center channel: Custom cabinet w Altec 806/811 horn w two 12" JBL woofers rear surround : Klipsch bookshelf

Turntable/Phono Stage:	Technics SL1300: Shure cart M91 ED / just upgraded to a SAS stylus - very nice! newest cart: - AT ART9XA - super detail.
Other Source(s):	streaming amazon audio through the Marantz receiver.

Speaker Cables/Interconnects:	16 ga. copper speaker wire - no snake oil here
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.):	Furman power conditioner Kenwood GE1000 - an old graphic equalizer with reverb / time delay & cool display. - this is mostly a toy for show, but I may sell it.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections):	classic, smooth jazz, rock
System Goals/Comments:	I have only experienced one other system that sounded as good, or only slightly better than my setup. it was the big Wilsons in a high end store that cost 40K. I'm happy with my Altec's that cost me a tenth the price.
System Strengths:	Front speakers are a wall of sound; I'm happy!
System Weaknesses:	wish we had a bigger room - can't move my speakers away from the wall. don't have a separate DAC - do I need one?

Other HT Gear:	Russound SD 4.1 This is a switch box on steroids, this provides input A/B choice (SS HT or the tube music system) and allows connection of four pair of speakers, each with separate volume, A/B amp choice, on/off controls. Some indoors / some outside on the patio. I may still add another pair of speakers in the art studio.
Comments on HT System:	I built my Altecs from a yard sale find, various components found on eBay, I built new custom Valencia type cabinets, I built the xovers. I had been a happy horn fan & Klipsch user for years, but the Altecs were a major upgrade from my Cornwalls. The EV Aristocrats are garage sale/craigs list finds, after some refurbishing, real gems.
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation:	Jazz 70's / 80's , woodworking, orchid garden, smoked ribs & brisket, beach living. I hope to build my own amp someday. HR / Labor Relations Director - I hung up my guns, now a retired hit man.
