Room Size (LxWxH): 22'-6" x 17' x 8'
Room Comments/Treatments: "Room" is a portion of a finished basement, with the "wall" on one side consisting of vinyl and CD shelves. Storage space exists behind these shelves. Nearfield listening, with speakers 58" from rear wall, 66" apart, and listening position 6 feet away from the plane of the speakers.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Easier to say that I listen to no urban country and rarely to Tibetan monk chants; otherwise anything else is fair game, with a preference for progressive rock, big band jazz, orchestral and chamber classical music from Medieval through 20th century times. Not to mention anything I discover sounds REALLY GOOD through the MMGs ;-)
System Goals/Comments: I'm there for now! ;-)
System Strengths: Cohesiveness and wide soundstage
System Weaknesses: Bass extension - currently drops off at 45 Hz. Soundstage depth a tad shallow.
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Hiking
