Room Comments/Treatments: Open, low-ceiling basement has its challenges, but the ability to play loud after wife and son are asleep makes it worthwhile!
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classical, opera
Jazz
Almost anything else if the mood hits me.
System Goals/Comments: Always fiddling. Don't have the disposable cash for major changes right now.
System Strengths: Presents music in a nice acoustic space. Cantons have the low end oomph to give a good representation of an orchestra in large repertoire.
System Weaknesses: Not the most detailed presentation I have had, but I have come to be less interested in that than tonal color and having enough weight in the low frequencies to reproduce an orchestra, which is what I listen to more than anything else.
Video/HT System: None
